"Make-A-Wish does amazing things to bring hope to kids who can really use it," said David Elattrache, Dealer Manager at Huggins Honda. "We have a unique opportunity to do a lot of good by leveraging the enthusiasm for the long-awaited Civic Type R, most powerful Honda ever sold in America."

On Thursday, June 22, Huggins Honda is hosting a special night to celebrate the Make-A-Wish Foundation and reveal a wish of a special North Texas child. The unsuspecting child and their family will be there to hear Parker Anderson's powerful wish story. Parker has experienced a tumultuous journey leading up to his diagnosis of a genetic disorder. Parker's wish was to go to the Jedi Training Academy at the Walt Disney World Resort. The wish-reveal at Parker's school was said to be one of the most memorable experiences for the family. TV crews, all the characters from Star Wars, a pep rally and cheerleaders!

During the event, Huggins Honda will reveal their very first Civic Type R. The night will conclude with an auction, where a person will be able to bid to win a Type R and help Make-A-Wish give a child their wish experience.

About Make-A-Wish
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true has positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. Headquartered in Phoenix, Make-A-Wish is one of the world's leading children's charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and more than 33,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 34 minutes. It has granted more than 285,000 wishes since its inception in 1980; more than 15,300 in 2016 alone. Visit Make-A-Wish at wish.org to learn more.
